VOCATIONS

 

Young women who seek to express their dedication to God through the following:

* Contemplative prayer

* Study and the defence of Divine Truth

* The Sacred Liturgy of the Church

* Communal life within a monastic framework

* Asceticism and personal spiritual discipline

* A life of material simplicity.

May wish to discern their vocation within this community.

The community requires that anyone seeking for such a discernment opportunity should:

* Be under the age of thirty (although consideration will be given, in some circumstances, to applicants over thirty).

* Have normal physical and emotional health.

* Possess a strong and rationally developed desire to give herself totally to God.

* Possess normal intelligence and a reasonable level of education, and have a desire to use both in the service of God and the Church.

* Desire to make continual progress in the spiritual life, and to do so within a specifically Dominican form of spirituality.

* Be docile to the Magisterium of the Church.

* Understand something of the true theological meaning and practical implications of the three vows of the Consecrated Religious Life - Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.

* Be engaged in a serious cultivation of her spiritual life through regular reception of the Sacraments of Penance and the Eucharist, and through prayer, asceticism and the practice of the virtues - especially of charity.
